Electronic Security Systems

Designed to reflect the role of an installation engineer working within the Electronic Security Systems Sector and standards that are expected within this industry. This task will test competitors working knowledge of system standards as well as their ability to identify and solve problems faced on a day-to-day basis as engineers.

3 heats, 3 days, 6 hours

Each competitor will takeover a part installed Intrusion Detection Systems and a Video Surveillance System, finish the Installation in accordance with the specifications and drawings, carry out Operational,  Functional and Electrical testing on each system, and Commission each system to industry standards and codes of practice as well as completing any associated paperwork.

Fire Detection & Alarm Systems

Designed to reflect the role of an installation engineer working within the Alarm Systems Sector and the standards that are expected within the industry. This task will test competitors working knowledge of system standards as well as their ability to identify and solve problems faced on a day-to-day basis as engineers.

3 heats, 3 days, 6 hours

Each competitor will  takeover a part installed Fire Alarm System, finish the Installation in accordance with the specifications and drawings, carry out Operational,  Functional and Electrical testing on each system, and Commission each system to industry standards and codes of practice as well as completing any associated paperwork.
