Warringtonfire will be providing specialized presentations focussed on the EN classification system for construction products, explaining the methods used to derive European classifications using the EN 13501 series of standards and what fire safety professionals need to be aware of when testing or specifying construction products.
In addition to demystifying the EN classification system, Warringtonfire will be providing practical information for testing and classifying specific products such as fire resisting doorsets, reaction to fire products and roofs.
The UK government has announced that the National Classes fire testing standards (i.e. BS 476 series) will be withdrawn from 'Approved Document B' in favour of the EN 13501 series of European classification standards and Warringtonfire's presentations will therefore offer valuable information for any fire safety professional that wants to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to understanding the EN classification system for construction products, in readiness for future regulatory requirements.
