Having spent more than two decades in the Royal Air Force, Ross progressed through the ranks, taking on numerous appointments in fire safety. During his role as fire safety assurance manager at City of Lincoln Council, he worked on resident engagement and building safety, as well as surveying high-rise buildings in anticipation of the Building Safety Act. Ross now leads the provision for all fire engineering consultancy at the Global Group and is responsible for growing and organising a multi-faceted award-winning fire safety division.
