Triple scope certification covering fire resistance for 30 and 60 minutes, smoke leakage and security is now available to members of the BM Trada Q-Mark schemes for fire door manufacture and enhanced security. 

The door system specifications for non-fire rated, 30 minute and 60 minute doorsets are also backed by the police initiative Secured By Design (SBD).

These SBD door systems are focused on access control. Halspan, market leaders in fire doorset technology have teamed up with Abloy, market leaders in access control to bring these robust systems to our customers.

Both wired and wireless access control locking systems have been catered for, with the door systems rigorously tested for fire resistance (EN 1634-1), smoke leakage (EN 1634-3) and PAS24 security testing. 

We also have options for multi-point locking, letterplates, glazing and concealed door closers. 

In addition, all test specimens have also been tested comply with the durability performance criteria as required in BS 6375-2 and BS 6375-3. These standards cover the EN test methods EN 12046-2, EN 947, EN 948, EN 949, EN 950, EN 1191. 

All clauses have been tested to severe duty, including 500,000 cycles! 

Further testing and certification updates are due during 2025 which will permit even more design possibilities. 

This innovative new offering also enhances certification for our Halspan Verified Door Systems: 

• DS5000 door systems featuring multi point locking 

• DS5600 door systems featuring Abloy access control 

These systems are available with a range of design options such as glazing styles and planted moulding option. 

Based on our groundbreaking Halspan Prima cores, naturally these door systems are also environmentally friendly with a Formaldehyde Release Rating of only 0.05ppm when tested to EN 717-1.
