Our 2023 Recap
From 1975 to 2023, our family business has grown into an industry leading supplier of fire safety equipment, as well as dedicated support for businesses in the fire trade. This year, our commitment to innovation has been stronger than ever and there’s lots in the pipeline to look forward to in 2024.
Here, we share the significant strides CheckFire has taken in the fire trade industry this year.
1. Closer collections: opening our new Northern Depot
For even more accessibility for our trade customers, we opened the CheckFire Northern Depot in May this year. Based in Rotherham, it’s now even quicker for Northern-based customers to order and collect fire extinguishers and ancillaries closer to home.
2. Fire extinguisher scrap and recycling service made easy
Disposing or recycling fire extinguishers isn’t a simple process, so we launched our scrap and recycling service to make it easier, safer, and more effective for our trade customers to dispose of fire extinguishers. This new service ensures total compliance to strict regulations, while giving peace of mind that no damage is done to the planet.
3. Order and Collect: pick up your order in an hour*
2023 also saw the introduction of our exclusive Order and Collect service, allowing trade customers to place orders by telephone, emails, or online, then simply collect them from a CheckFire Depot (North or South) in 60 minutes (*subject to stock availability).
4. Simpler solutions: our flat-pack construction stand range
Clever and compact, we introduced our first-ever flat-pack construction stand earlier this year and expanded the range throughout the year to include a total of three stands. To help save valuable time, energy, and costs when transporting or storing heavy fire safety equipment, the clever and simple design can be installed in three easy steps.
5. Louder, brighter, tougher: our new fire alarm system
Our trade customers can now stock up on the ultra-dependable Commander Single Site Alarm, which also launched this year. To aid safe evacuation in all kinds of noisy and/or outdoor environments, it’s designed with tough ABS plastic with a water resistant seal, and armed with an incredible 105dBA siren, and flashing LED strobe.
Looking back at our incredible year, our trade director Cameron Robins says:
“This year has been one of innovation and growth, with regards to both our product offering and services. As always, our focus has been on providing those in the fire trade industry with everything they need to exceed their clients’ expectations, and our new service offerings ensure they can achieve that faster, easier, and more sustainably than ever before. And this is just the beginning. 2024 is set to be a landmark year, with several exciting projects underway. Watch this space!”
