Halspan® Tracker - How it Works

With an integrated solution for digital management of fire safety information, the Halspan® Tracker asset management app satisfies the needs of building owners and responsible persons to record an asset’s complete history to ongoing maintenance, and inspection linked via Halspan Smart Tags.

How Halspan® Tracker Works

Halspan® Smart Tag - Firstly, a building’s door systems and other fire safety assets (such as fire extinguishers etc) are each fitted with a unique Halspan® Smart Tag. This identification tag stays with the asset throughout its service life.

Halspan® Tracker System - Next, a record of each Smart Tag is created on the Halspan® Tracker online asset management system. This record is updated whenever the asset is inspected or maintenance work is carried out. Over time, this builds into a complete picture of the asset’s quality assurance journey, from cradle to grave.

Halspan® Tracker App - Scanning a Smart Tag using the Halspan® Tracker app on a smart device identifies the asset and provides access to its quality assurance record, which can then be updated as required or checked for compliance.

Compliance in the palm of your hand

Using the Halspan® Tracker system, you can view all your fire assets’ quality assurance data in one place. See at a glance which assets are compliant, which aren’t and what corrective action needs to be taken. For existing fire door systems, that might mean the difference between ‘nominal’, ‘notional’,  ‘upgraded’ fire door,  or even replacement

Safe & secure access

The quality assurance information collected for each asset is stored securely in the cloud, where the licence holder – typically the building owner – can access it at any time. Licence holders can also grant controlled access to the data as and when required, for example to facility managers and fire door inspectors, as well as residents so they can feel secure in their homes, in line with Building Regulations Compliant Overdue Inspection Processing Total Doors 95% 3% 2% 243 Advisory Committee (BRAC) recommendations.

The Smarter App

The Halspan® Tracker app works with both Android and Apple for maximum flexibility. What’s more, it keeps on working even when there’s no internet connection. The Halspan® Tracker app stores information offline and uploads it to the asset management system the next time you’re connected.

Flexible outputs

The data collected can be downloaded in a variety of report formats. Simply select the desired output format and Halspan Tracker does the rest.

Seamless integration

Halspan® Tracker allows the ‘owner’ of the license to extract and integrate data into your existing building management system (BMS),  for use in SMART building applications.

Universal solution

Halspan® Smart Tags can either be fitted during fabrication, as part of the Halspan Verified quality assurance scheme, or retrofitted to existing doorsets and door assemblies, extending the benefits. This means you can use the Halspan® Tracker asset management system to build up quality assurance records for ALL your door assets, helping you to maintain compliance and providing peace of mind.
