Talentum 16000 is a specialist flame detection range designed for demanding industrial environments where rapid response is required, but common “false sources” (sunlight, welding, reflections, etc.) can cause unwanted alarms. Across the range, models detect a broad spectrum of flames, including hydrocarbon fires and invisible flames such as hydrogen, with configurable response speed and built-in test functions (model dependent).
Models within the range
- IR2 – dual-infrared flame detection for reliable performance and strong immunity to false sources.
- IR3 – triple-infrared sensing for exceptional detection speed/stability and strong immunity in harsh/contaminating conditions.
- UV/IR2 – multi-spectrum UV + dual-IR sensing for rapid detection of most flame types with high false alarm rejection.
Hazardous-area options
- Ex d (flameproof) options are available across the range.
- Ex i (intrinsically safe) options are available (including Zone 0/1/2 variants).
Approvals & integration (by model)
- Approvals available include EN54-10, plus listings such as LPCB/VdS and FM/CSFM on selected variants.
- Selectable outputs include relay contacts or 4–20 mA (variant dependent).

Oil & gas / petrochemical, chemical processing, power generation, aviation hangars, fuel handling/loading areas, heavy industrial sites, and other high-risk environments where fast flame detection is essential.
