Rack-Ex® is 2U high. It is manufactured in dimensions that can be easily placed in a shelf as a natural part of the rack cabinet. Rack-Ex® does not require an external electrical connection.
Rack-Ex® contains;

• Thermal sensor
• Automatic activator
• Aerosol extinguisher.

Rack-Ex® was developed by EZGİL Security Technologies R&D department. Thermal sensor with an activation degree of up to 300°C can be selected depending on the fire risk in the cabinet and the operating requests.

How Does It Work?
In the event of a fire inside the cabin, the thermal sensors enable the triggering system connected to them to operate and generate 3VDC voltage. The voltage generated triggers the aerosol fire extinguisher
connected to the activator outputs and enables the fire extinguisher to operate in less than 1 second after the detection process. The maximum temperature that the aerosol extinguisher will create inside the cabin after it is no harmful for equipment. 

Nano particles in gas form released from the aerosol fire extinguisher quickly extinguish the fire without damaging the equipment inside the cabin.

Technicial Specifications

• Rack-Ex® does not require an external electrical source. It triggers with a 3V Li-ion on the activator, with a minimum lifespan of 5 years.
• There are at least 2 thermal sensors on the bottom of Rack-Ex®. The number of sensors can be increased according to the risk level.
• There is a control system on the front of Rack-Ex® to control the status of the Lithium-ion battery. When the battery control button is pressed, the good-medium-weak status of the battery is shown with 3 LEDs (Green-Yellow-Red).
• Rack-Ex®, has 2NO-2NC outputs to communicate with other systems. The outputs can be transferred to other systems via an RJ45 jack.
• Activator, a component of Rack-Ex®; CE, RoHs and UL certified. Its other component, the extinguisher, is a UL certified aerosol extinguisher. An aerosol extinguisher with 1 or 2 m³ extinguishing capacity can be selected depending on the cabin interior volume size.
• The aerosol generated during extinguishing does not harm human health or equipment. The shelf life of the aerosol extinguisher is 15 years.
