Healthcare Fire Doors
When it comes to fire doors in hospitals and healthcare centres, ensuring they are robust is key to their longevity. All LFS fire doors are tested and certified to be hard-wearing and durable enough to withstand damage from wheelchairs, portable beds, trolleys and other equipment as well as being subject to constant foot traffic.
Any damage to the structure, ironmongery or other components could render a fire door unsuitable. Damage to the door leaves including breaks, gaps, cracks or holes would render them ineffective against an outbreak of fire. This could also enable the harbour of harmful bacteria, compromising hygiene and leaving the area vulnerable to infection and viruses.
We tailor all components of our door set solution to suit our client's need - for example, if you're putting a fire door in a ward or operating theatre, you may want doors with a higher acoustic rating to reduce noise and disruption - to ensure your doors are always fit-for-purpose.
We also work with Yeoman Shield to supply additional fire rated* door protection products which can help maintain a fire door’s integrity by protecting against damage.
