Fire Doors - Education
We know that fire doors in educational facilities are 'put through the ringer'. They need to be robust enough to withstand high footfall as well as occasional misuse and less-than-careful opening and closing action. Schools and colleges also need to meet strict fire regulations, which is impossible if your fire doors become damaged, cracked, or develop gaps. That's why ensuring they are not only hardwearing and robust, but also fully compliant and rigorously tested is critical.
The Regulatory Reform Order (RRO) states the requirements for schools to appoint a Responsible Person (RP) who is responsible for fire prevention including passive protection such as fire doors, fire screens and fire stopping, as well as active protection including fire alarms, fire exstinguishers and sprinkler systems.
The RRO helps ensure educational facilities meet the minimum fire safety standards to help safeguard students, staff and visitors.
Our multi-accredited and fully-certified fire doors are BM Trada Q-Mark Fire Scheme certified, and meet the Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) requirements.
In addition to helping prevent and compartmentalise fire, we can provide additional components within our door set packages to suit the needs of schools such as anti-trap finger protection mechanisms and easily adjusted door closers.
